Aquatic Remedies Bactonil-FW is a popular, broad-spectrum antibacterial medication designed for freshwater aquariums. It is highly effective in treating both internal and external bacterial infections, including fin rot, mouth fungus, cloudy eye, pop eye, ulcerous wounds, and skin discoloration.
💧 Key Features & Uses
- Targeted Ailments: Treats red patches, physical injuries, fish bites, and inflamed skin.
- Application: Often used in quarantine or hospital tanks, but safe for community freshwater tanks.
- Water Note: It may cause a temporary yellow tint to the aquarium water.
📏 Dosage & Directions
- Standard Dose: Use 10 ml per 50 liters of water.
⚠️ Important Precautions
- Filter Media: Remove activated carbon, zeolite, or resins from your aquarium filter before treatment, as they will absorb the medication. Replace them 10 days after treatment ends.
- Aeration: Always ensure strong aeration/oxygen supply in the tank when medicating fish.
- Limits: Use for freshwater aquariums only.
