Betta mineral balls (often sold under brands like Aquatic Remedies Betta Survive or bundled with Betta Care twin packs) are slow-release ceramic or tourmaline-based spheres designed to improve water quality and supplement essential trace elements in small aquarium setups.
🌟 Key Benefits
  • Mineral Replenishment: Slowly leeches vital trace minerals (like calcium, magnesium, and potassium) necessary for your Betta’s muscle growth, bone structure, and vibrant fin health.
  • Water Buffering: Helps stabilize and maintain ideal pH and hardness levels, preventing dangerous, sudden water chemistry shifts.
  • Impurities Absorption: The porous structure acts as a miniature filter, absorbing heavy metals, toxins, and minor organic waste to keep the water crystal clear.
  • Stress Reduction: Replicates a more natural environment, boosting your Betta's natural immunity, activity levels, and overall lifespan.
📝 How to Use
  1. Rinse First: Thoroughly rinse the mineral balls under clean, dechlorinated water before adding them to remove any manufacturing dust.
  2. Placement: Drop them directly into your Betta bowl, nano tank, or inside your aquarium filter compartment.
  3. Dosage: For standard ceramic mineral balls, 1 small pack (around 10–14 balls) is optimized for a typical single-betta nano tank (up to 10 litres). If using larger tourmaline beads, the standard baseline is 1 ball per 5 gallons (approx. 19 litres) of water.
  4. Replacement: These balls do not melt away immediately. They should be replaced every 3 to 6 months as they eventually lose their mineral potency and absorption capability.
