How to Use Worm Out-D
- Prepare the Tank: Remove any activated carbon and turn off UV sterilizers, as these will neutralize the medication. Ensure the aquarium has heavy aeration running. [1]
- Mix and Dose: Shake the bottle thoroughly before opening. Take a clean cup of aquarium water, dissolve the recommended dosage completely, and pour it evenly into the tank.
- The 24-Hour Rule: Do not feed your fish for 24 hours after applying the treatment. After 24 hours have passed, perform a 25% to 30% water change.
- Repeat the Process: Because most medications only kill adult worms and not their eggs, repeat the identical treatment exactly 7 days later to catch the newly hatched lifecycle.
- Storage: Once opened, keep the bottle stored safely inside a refrigerator at 4°C for future use.
